PM Calls on Landlords to be Reasonable

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen called on landlords to keep prices reasonable and not to increase rent for factory workers while meeting with nearly 20,000 workers in the Royal Group SEZ this morning.

He said, "I beg the landlords to try to keep their prices reasonable so that workers can stay. Trying to get rich off neglecting workers’ needs is not appropriate.”

At the same time, the PM called on factory owners to pay attention to the well-being of their employees; if the workers are healthy, they will perform well and provide good results. He also asked that factory owners be responsible for additional employee training where needed.
